Which patients are more likely to respond to PROMs?

Sebas Peters and his colleagues performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to find factors associated with response to Patient Reported Outcome Meaures (PROMs). They were able to find 43 factors across 6 domains and concluded that we need to design systems that are easier to use for patients. Is PIP denervation for osteoarthritis a durable solution?

Proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint osteoarthritis frequently causes pain and functional limitation. Arthroplasty and arthrodesis can provide pain relief but are invasive, require prolonged rehabilitation, and carry substantial complication risks. PIP joint denervation has emerged as a less invasive, motion-preserving alternative.
