Michiel Zuidam, Hand Surgeon

Dr. J. Michiel Zuidam started his medical career in Amsterdam at the Vrije Universiteit. He was trained in plastic surgery training in the Erasmus Medical Centre (Prof. Dr S.E.R. Hovius). In 2012 he completed the Dutch national hand fellowship. He passed the European board of hand surgery diploma examination (FESSH/EHBS) in 2012. In the same year he passed the EBOPRAS examination. In 2013 he started working as a plastic/hand surgeon in the Erasmus Medical Centre and Franciscus Gasthuis in Rotterdam.

 

Michiel has a specific interest in tetraplegia, wrist pathology and peripheral nerve surgery.

 

Michiel is one of the co-founders of Esser Masterclass, which is an international hand surgery educational institute. In addition, he co-founded the BROASE-Research Group; an international hand surgery research alliance between several departments across the globe.
