Eva Lindner,
PhD-student

My name is Eva Lindner, and I’m a PhD researcher at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Hand Surgery at Erasmus MC.

After obtaining my bachelor's degree in medicine, I joined the Hand and Wrist Study Group for my master's research project. This experience, both the research and working with the team, sparked my enthusiasm and motivated me to continue my academic journey as a PhD candidate.

Over the coming years, I will be conducting research on the Patient-Specific Needs Evaluation (PSN). This short, digital, and patient-centered tool identifies individual information needs, treatment goals, and personal thresholds for treatment success. The PSN introduces a new framework for data-supported, personalized care.

My project focuses on adapting and implementing the PSN across different clinical settings, including orthopaedics, plastic surgery, and rehabilitation. The aim is to enhance shared decision-making, improve treatment outcomes, and increase patient satisfaction by tailoring care to what matters most to each individual patient.
