Our Mission
Our mission is to improve the treatment of hand and wrist disorders.
To do so, we use real-world clinical data (in contrast to researcher-collected experimental data) combined with innovative statistical analyses and data science. With this, we aim to provide evidence on the effectiveness of different treatments (comparative effectiveness) and on factors that determine individual treatment outcome (clinical prediction modeling). In addition, we develop new ways outcome information can contribute to improving the quality of care.
We are actively collaborating with ICHOM to develop consensus on a standard set for hand and wrist disorders. We won both the Achmea Quality Award (2014) and the Value-Based Health Care Patient Outcome Award (2016) for our efforts.
